This Privacy Policy explains what information WiTricity Corporation (“WiTricity” or “we”) collects from individuals (“you” or “user”) who visit the WiTricity web site at www.witricity.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy also explains how we process, use, maintain, disclose and transfer that information. By using the Site, and any content or links included in the Site, you are accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect online and offline.
Personal Information (or “Personal Data”) includes information about you that is personally identifying such as your name, email address, physical address, and phone number and which is not otherwise publicly available. Personal Information may include other types of information depending on the legal definition of Personal Information that applies in your physical location. Only the definition of Personal Information that applies in your location will apply to you under this Privacy Policy.

What information do we collect?
When you place an order on our Site, we collect your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, and payment information such as a credit card. When you request information or support on the “Contact Us” area of the Site, we collect your first and last name, email address, postal address and phone number. If you send us feedback or other information through Contact Us, by email or otherwise, we will collect the information you submit. When you request to be added to WiTricity’s email list, we collect your first and last name and your email address.
What Do We Use Your Information For?
The information we collect from you will be used to process your transactions, to send you emails in relation to your order, or to contact you in response to your request for support or information. We use your email address to add you to our email list in order to send you promotional emails. You can opt out of promotional emails by clicking “unsubscribe” in the emails you receive from us.
How Do We Protect Your Information?
When you place an order, your information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and encrypted into our payment provider’s database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are subject to strict requirements to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your payment card information will not be stored on our servers.
We will take reasonable precautions to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. Do We Use Cookies?

Given that the Internet operates in a global environment and that transfer of your data is necessary to provide you with requested services, process orders, provide updates, and respond to your inquiries, using the Internet to collect and process Personal Information necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international, or cross-border, basis. By providing Personal Information and/or by communicating with us by email, you acknowledge and expressly consent to our processing and disclosure of your Personal Information in this way. The Personal Information of users who are located outside the U.S. will be transferred outside of each eligible country to the U.S., where our servers are located and where it will be processed and stored on servers in the U.S. The U.S. has not been recognized as providing an adequate level of protection according to EU data protection requirements, but we will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that users’ Personal Information is treated securely in respect of such transfer and as described in this Privacy Policy. Social Media Features
Our Site includes features from third party social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+ and LinkedIn that run on our Site. Please note that our Site is not sponsored or endorsed by any of these social media sites, which are trademarked and owned by third parties and not by us. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our Site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to these features. Your interactions with these features would be governed by the privacy policy and other policies of the companies providing them.
Links to Other Sites; Transactions with Third Parties
Our Site may contain links to other websites that are independent, are not owned or operated by us, are not covered by this Privacy Policy and which may incorporate third party information. For example, when you place an order, you are immediately directed to our third party payment processor, which collects your Personal Information and billing information in order to process your transaction. Our third party payment processor and other third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. If you access other sites using the links provided, the operators of these sites may collect information from you, which will be used by them in accordance with their privacy policy, which may differ from ours. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of other websites to which you provide Personal Information, even if they are linked to our Site.
Children’s’ Privacy
Our Site is geared towards users who are at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If your child provided Personal Information to the Site, please contact us using the information provided below.
Your California Privacy Rights; California Do Not Track Disclosures
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, information about the personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. If applicable, this information would include a list of the categories of personal information that was shared and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to our privacy officer as listed below. Please note that we do not disclose Personal Information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. In addition, we currently do not honor Do Not Track signals.
